Bought a pelvic belt because my doc suggested for the pain but the box has no proper instruction. Im 7 months and not sure if it goes above or below the belly. Anyone using one pls help.
I had terrible pelvic pain and wearing the belt felt like such a relief. I wore it low on my hips when I had to stand or walk. Just ensure it's not pressing your tummy.
Position it low on the pelvic girdle, below your belly to distribute the weight. However, please consult your physiotherapist or gynac to make sure you are wearing it right for your specific pain.
Wear it low down, right under your baby bump and across your hips. It shouldn't squeeze your belly at all. Tighten it just enough to feel supported, not restricted.
Make sure you wrap it snugly around your pelvic bone, not your waist. It should support your lower back and lift the bump slightly. Take it off while sitting or sleeping so you stay comfortable.
Personally, I used to wear it only when going out for walks or standing in the kitchen. I strapped it low around the hip area. It really helped my back, but I always took it off while resting.
