How twins are conceived formation and developpment of fraternal twins?
Twins run in my family and ever since I found out im pregnant I keep wondering if I could have them too. Just curious how fraternal twins actually form, matlab how it's different from identical ones. Anyone here mom of twins?
For fraternal twins, two eggs, two sperms, that's the simple way to think about it. Development wise, they grow side by side. What's more important is regular monitoring by your gynac because it's a higher-risk pregnancy. Be prepared for more appointments and more rest, you'll need it!
Oh wow, twins! That's so fascinating. I'm just in my second trimester with one baby, and thinking about twins makes me a little anxious about managing everything. Did anyone else here feel overwhelmed thinking about how it all works?
Actually, for any pregnancy, especially with twins, having regular checkups is key. My thyroid was a bit off during pregnancy, so I had to be extra diligent. For fraternal twins, your doctor will monitor both babies closely. Just follow your gynac's advice consistently.
Fraternal twins develop when two separate eggs are fertilized by two separate sperms. It's basically like having two individual pregnancies at the same time! They can be different genders or same, and genetically they are like regular siblings. Mostly happens due to genetic predisposition or sometimes age too.
Getting pregnant with twins is a beautiful thing, it's a natural process when your body releases two eggs instead of one. Don't stress too much about the exact scientific details, your doctor will explain everything you need to know about their development. Just focus on taking good care of yourself and your growing babies.
