Just curious how these strips actually detect it from urine. Planning to take one in a couple days and want to understand before i do. Does it need morning urine only or anytime works?
Simple, u put a few drops of urine on the strip and it detects the pregnancy hormone hcg. Best done with morning urine and after a missed period for accurate result. Too early = can show false negative.
It works by catching the hcg hormone that rises after implantation. Thats why testing too early gives wrong results, the hormone isnt high enough yet. I waited till my period was actually late and got a clear answer.
Basically it senses the pregnancy hormone in ur urine and shows lines. I did mine with morning urine like the box said. If its very early it might not show, so dont lose hope on one test.
The kit checks for a hormone called hcg in ur urine, which ur body makes only when pregnant. If its there u get a positive line. My doc said to use first morning pee since hcg is most concentrated then.
