My mom keeps soaking walnuts and giving me two every morning, says its good for the baby's brain. Im 5 months now and honestly i dont even like the taste much. Is it really that beneficial or just an old belief? curious to know.
I add walnut to my morning oats, keeps me full and gives healthy fats. My nutritionist said it's a good snack instead of biscuits. Pairs nice with a walk after, makes me feel light.
Honestly walnut is bit pricey so I didnt eat tons of it, but even a couple a day is fine they say. Mixed it with cheaper stuff like peanuts and almonds. Don't feel u have to buy expensive imported ones.
My amma always told me dry fruits are good during pregnancy and walnut was her favourite to give me. Brain food she called it. But ask your gynac once how much suits you, everyone's diet is different na.
On my pregnancy app they listed walnut under omega 3 foods, good for baby's brain n eyes apparently. I'd just keep the quantity small coz nuts are calorie heavy. Soaked ones digest better for me.
Walnut is good yaar, has omega 3 which is supposed to help baby's brain. I used to soak 2 in water overnight and eat in morning, easier on the stomach that way. Just dont go overboard, 2-3 a day is enough.
