Got my positive test recently and everyone keeps asking how many weeks I am, but honestly I'm confused yaar. Do we count from last period ya from the date we conceived? Pls explain in simple way.
It's actually super simple once you get the hang of it! You just count from the day your last period started. I kept a small calendar in my room to track it and it was such a positive experience seeing the weeks add up. Wishing you a very happy and smooth journey ahead!
Actually, my gynac explained this to me very clearly. You have to start counting from the first day of your last period, even though you weren't pregnant then. It sounds confusing but that's how doctors calculate the gestational age. So when your period is missed, you are already considered 4 weeks pregnant.
Haha, pregnancy math is a different level of science, trust me! You are technically pregnant before you even conceive according to the doctors, like how is that even fair? Just use an online app to do the heavy lifting, don't break your head over this, enjoy the pampering instead!
Oh god, don't ask me about math right now, my brain is completely mush in this 3rd trimester. I am currently 34 weeks and honestly, I just count the days left until I can sleep on my stomach again. Just track from your LMP, and don't stress, the baby will come when they want to anyway!
Honestly, I got so confused with this week-by-week calculation during my time. I just relied on what the scan reports said because my own math was totally off. Personally, counting from my last period date worked best for tracking, but I never gave advice to anyone else because every body is different.
