Went for my routine checkup and the nurse said my bp is 100/70. Im 22 weeks now. It feels a bit on the lower side to me, sometimes i feel light headed when i get up fast. Is this reading ok for pregnancy or should i ask my gynac about it?
For most people that reading is fine, but since I had BP issues I learnt every body is different. If you are getting symptoms like dizziness, blurred vision or it keeps dropping, do tell your gynac. Context matters more than one number.
My doctor said BP often runs a little lower in pregnancy, especially in the second trimester, so something like 100/70 is usually fine. She was more concerned about high readings. But if you feel very dizzy or faint with it, mention it at your next visit.
100/70 is generally on the normal lower side, nothing alarming usually. Mine was around there too and gynac was happy with it. Just eat on time and stay hydrated so you dont feel dizzy from low BP.
