Around 22 weeks and dealing with a lot of itching and discharge, pretty sure its a yeast thing because i used to get it before too. Im planning to show my gynac this week but cant stop worrying if it affects the baby. Anyone went through this?
Happened to me both times, its very normal in pregnancy and not dangerous to the baby when treated. Just dont ignore the itching or use medicine on your own. Doctor prescribes pregnancy safe treatment, simple.
Yeast infections are quite common in pregnancy because of hormone changes, so dont panic. But please dont self treat with random creams. Show your gynac, she will give you something safe for pregnancy. Mine cleared up easily once treated properly.
Oh I had this last month and got so scared thinking it would harm the baby. My doc reassured me its common and treatable. Did anyone else get it more than once? Mine came back a bit.
Beta this happens to many of us when pregnant, no need to be scared. Just go to your lady doctor and she will fix it with safe medicine. Do not try home things for this one, ok.
My gynac said yeast infections are more frequent in pregnancy due to changing hormones and are generally not harmful to baby when treated. She told me to avoid OTC stuff and only use what she prescribes. Cotton underwear and keeping the area dry helped me prevent repeats.
