Amla is actually a superfood during pregnancy, yaar. I used to drink fresh amla juice with a bit of ginger every morning, it totally cured my bloating.
Amla is generally considered very safe and healthy, but because of my past loss, I was extremely cautious about everything. I only ate fresh organic amla and avoided any store-bought pickles or candies with preservatives.
It is excellent for raising your hemoglobin levels naturally during pregnancy. You can have it as fresh juice, raw with salt, or even as homemade murabba.
According to my health tracker, amla is amazing because its high Vitamin C helps in better iron absorption. Just make sure you don't eat too many at once as it can cause acidity.
Post my C-section, I had a lot of hair fall and skin issues, and amla really helped me recover. Having it during pregnancy is also great for building immunity and avoiding constipation.
I had raw amla with a little black salt almost every day during my pregnancy. It kept my energy up and really helped with that metallic taste in my mouth, highly recommend it!
Amla candy was my absolute savior when I had severe morning sickness and couldn't keep anything down. That sour and sweet taste instantly settled my stomach when I felt nauseous.
