Mera skin is super dry these days and im 5 months along. I have amlactin at home from before but not sure if its ok to use now. Anyone used it during pregnancy?
Lactic acid in low percentages is usually fine, but amlactin is quite strong for dry skin. My husband is a doctor and he always tells patients to avoid strong peeling lotions during these nine months. Ask your doctor for a mild, pregnancy-safe alternative.
I get very scared about using any skincare products after my past loss, so I stopped everything except baby oil. Even if something is labeled safe, our bodies react differently right now. Please check with your doctor before applying it, just to be safe.
Honestly, amlactin has lactic acid which is generally considered safe, but I'd suggest pausing it until you get a green light. Skin gets super sensitive now, so switching to a basic moisturizer like Cetaphil or plain coconut oil is a safer bet for a few days.
Pls do not apply any active ingredient lotions without asking your gynac first. Some chemicals get absorbed into the skin, so it is better to be safe than sorry. Just show the bottle to your doc on your next visit to be absolutely sure.
Haan na, skin pure pregnancy me dry hoti hai but blindly active lotions use mat karo. I used to apply simple ghar pe homemade malai or olive oil. Doctor se ek baar consult kar lo, safe rahega.
