Is ampicillin safe during pregnancy?

Doc mentioned ampicillin for a small infection im having but i forgot to ask if its safe in pregnancy. Im 22 weeks. Just want to be sure before i start it, anyone been given this?

Even my saas said never to take antibiotics without doctor's permission. Ask your gynac before taking ampicillin.
