Saw aspirin being mentioned in some pregnancy groups and got curious. Im in my first trimester and would never take anything on my own, will definitely confirm with my gynac. Just wanted to understand the general view on it.
This one strictly depends on your doctor. In my pregnancy I was put on a low dose aspirin because of a BP risk, but it was the doctor's decision with proper monitoring. Please never start or stop it on your own.
From what my gynac explained, low dose aspirin is sometimes prescribed for specific high risk situations, but regular aspirin for pain is a different thing and not just taken casually. So the real answer is, only if and how your doctor advises it.
I was given baby aspirin during my pregnancy for a reason, under close watch. It's not a take it yourself kind of medicine. Whatever your situation, let your gynac decide, dont go by general advice.
It's really case to case. Some women are prescribed a low dose for medical reasons, for others it's avoided. The dose and whether at all, that's a doctor call only. Best to ask yours directly.
