my kamar is paining a lot these days, 6 months chal rahe hai. my husband offered to give me a light massage but im not sure if its fine in pregnancy. anyone got it done?
Since my pregnancy was IVF, I was extremely cautious and avoided any body massages completely. My doctor told me that stimulations on certain back pressure points can sometimes trigger early contractions. If you really need relief, just ask your gynac first and only go to a certified prenatal therapist.
For mild backaches, doing gentle stretches or using a warm hot water bag wrapped in a towel is great. But avoid deep massages, especially on the lower back, as it can be risky. If the pain is very sharp or you have other symptoms, please don't massage and check with your doc immediately.
If you want a massage, just get your husband to gently massage with warm oil at home instead of spending thousands on expensive parlor packages. Honestly, those fancy salons charge a bomb and might not even know pregnancy safety. A simple warm compress at home also works great and saves so much money.
Honestly, my lower back has been killing me in my second trimester. I really want to get a massage but I'm so scared of hurting the baby. Has anyone here actually tried a professional prenatal massage, and did your gynac allow it?
My mother and dadi were totally against any heavy massages, and actually they were right. They just used to gently rub some warm olive oil on my back without applying any hard pressure. It was so comforting and safe, kept me relaxed without any worry.
