My kamar pains a lot when I sit on the sofa now, im 28 weeks. Was thinking of getting a bean bag to relax, but not sure if its good support for the back during pregnancy. Anyone using one?
Yaar, honestly I'd say avoid it. Initially, it might feel comfy but trust me, getting up from it, especially in later trimesters, is actually so difficult! It puts a weird strain on your hips and lower back. Better to stick to a good sofa or a chair with back support.
Not recommended. Bean bags don't provide proper spinal support, which is crucial during pregnancy. Also, the effort to get up from them can strain your abdominal muscles. Better to invest in a good ergonomic chair or use supportive pillows on your bed.
I had asked my doc about this during my check-up, and they generally advise against it. The main concern is lack of proper back support and the strain when trying to get up. It's always best to run these comfort related things by your gynac to be completely sure, you know.
Oh god, I felt so tempted to use my bean bag in my first trimester, it looked so comfy! But then I realized it was actually making it harder to get up and put a strain on my lower back. Ended up using a firm pillow between my knees on the bed, that felt bohot acha.
Beta, aaram is very important in pregnancy, no doubt. But bean bags, they can be a bit too soft, na? For the back, you need firm support. Ghar pe, we always said sit straight, or use a good cushion that doesn't let you sink in too much. Just be careful, dear.
Honestly, bean bags can be tricky during pregnancy, especially if you have a history of back issues or PCOS like me. It might not give you proper lumbar support, and getting up can be a real struggle. Better to check with your gynac or choose something more firm for good posture, haan?
