Im in my 5th month and i keep dropping things, then have to bend to pick them up. My MIL scolds me everytime saying dont bend. Is it actually a problem at this stage or is she just being overprotective?
Light bending is fine early on, just be careful as the belly grows because balance changes. Instead of bending from the waist, squat down with bent knees to pick things up. Avoid heavy lifting while bent, thats the real thing to watch.
Honestly you cant avoid all bending in daily life. I just stopped bending suddenly and started bending my knees instead of my back. For anything heavy I asked for help, no point straining yourself.
Normal light bending is okay but avoid heavy lifting or repeated deep bending, especially if you have any complications. If your doctor put any restrictions, follow those strictly. I was advised to be careful, so I always asked first.
