Is betadine safe during pregnancy?

Got a small cut on my hand while cooking and reached for the betadine like i always do, then suddenly stopped and thought maybe i should ask first. Is it fine to use on skin during pregnancy? 16 weeks.

For a small cut on skin most doctors are okay with it, but for gargle or anything inside, better confirm with ur gynac first. Iodine stuff they prefer to keep limited in pregnancy.

I used it on a small wound once and my doc said fine for external. But dont use it for long or on big areas without asking. When in doubt, ask.
