Is bio oil good for stretch marks after pregnancy?
Got quite a few stretch marks on my pet after delivery and they are bothering me. Lot of people mention bio oil. Did it actually fade them for anyone? pls share.
Currently in my 3rd trimester and I look like a zebra already! I have been using Bio oil but let's be real, genetics plays a major role and no oil can completely wipe them out. Just use it to stop the crazy stretching itch, and accept the mommy stripes with a laugh!
Actually yaar, Bio oil is pretty decent but it is super greasy, so I preferred using a light moisturizing lotion during the day and oil only at night. Don't worry too much about stretch marks, they are totally normal. But if you have sensitive skin, do a patch test first.
Stretch marks are like beautiful marks of motherhood, so don't stress too much about them, dear. Staying positive and keeping your skin moisturized is important. Bio oil is good, or you can even use pure organic coconut oil with some prayers and love. Take care of yourself.
Yes! Bio oil worked really well for me to lighten my stretch marks post-delivery. I used to apply it twice daily right after my shower. It takes some time and patience though, so don't expect overnight magic! 😉
Please be careful with what you apply, especially if you have sensitive skin or had any pregnancy complications. I always prefer checking with the doctor before starting any new oil or cream post-delivery. Sometimes chemical formulations in oils can cause mild skin rashes, so better to be safe.
Bio oil is actually quite popular and many women find it helpful for fading marks, but honestly, results vary a lot depending on your skin type and genetics. I would suggest asking your dermatologist or gynac for a medical-grade cream if you want faster results. Remember to keep the skin hydrated regardless of the brand you choose.
I've heard great things about Bio oil, but right now in my pregnancy, my focus is purely on satisfying my cravings for warm jalebis! But jokes aside, keeping the skin moisturized with Bio oil or even cocoa butter is great to prevent that post-pregnancy itchiness. Just start early.
