I have one of those smart weighing scales at home that sends a tiny current through your body to measure fat. Now that im pregnant im scared to step on it. Is it ok to use or should i avoid it completely? pls share if anyone knows.
I was worried about this too because my gym scale does it automatically. Did anyone confirm with their doc? I just switched it off to be safe and stuck to regular weighing.
Honestly the safest move is to avoid it. The data on it isnt strong and the numbers wont be reliable while pregnant. If you really want body stats, just ask your gynac what to monitor.
Those body composition machines pass a tiny current through you and the readings arent accurate in pregnancy anyway because of all the fluid changes. Many manufacturers advise against it. Better to skip during these months.
I stopped using my smart scale that does the body fat thing once I got pregnant, just to be safe. Most brands actually say avoid it in pregnancy. I just track normal weight and ask my doc instead.
