Craving biryani so badly these days lol but MIL says spicy and heavy food avoid karo in pregnancy. Is veg/chicken biryani actually ok to eat in moderation? Someone pls settle this haha.
My doctor actually said that homemade biryani is generally safe as long as the meat is fully cooked and fresh, and you're mindful of the spice level. Excessively spicy food can sometimes cause acidity. Also, be careful with restaurant biryani as you don't always know about the freshness or hygiene. So, basically, yes, in moderation and well-prepared, it's fine.
Oh, biryani! That's a great question, I've been wondering about that too since we're planning to conceive. I guess it depends on the ingredients, right? Like, are there any super spicy masalas or weird meats? I'd love to know what others have been told about it.
Yeah, I've been eating biryani! My gynac said it's totally okay as long as the chicken/mutton is properly cooked and fresh. Just try not to overdo the extra spicy bits if that gives you heartburn. I usually have a plate once in a while and it's been fine.
Biryani? Oh god, I would've killed for a good biryani during my pregnancy! Honestly, if it's fresh and cooked properly, most doctors say it's fine. Just make sure it's not super oily ya super spicy to avoid heartburn. Right now, I just want five minutes of sleep, but biryani still sounds amazing!
I love biryani so much, but I've been a little worried about having it if I get pregnant. Like, will the spices be too much? Or is it okay if it's not too spicy? Maybe ghar pe banaya hua is better than outside? I want to be safe for the baby.
