I add black pepper to almost everything, my morning kadha, eggs, soups. Now that im around 6 weeks im second guessing every spice in my kitchen. Is normal kali mirch okay in early pregnancy or should i cut back?
A little black pepper in food is totally fine ma, we use it in rasam and everything. It is the normal cooking amount that is safe. Just dont take it in large medicinal quantities. As a regular spice in meals, no worry.
A bit of black pepper actually helped me with nausea sometimes, a pinch in warm water. Normal food amounts are safe. But if you have heartburn early on, go easy on too much spice. Listen to your tummy.
Used normally in food it is completely okay, I ate spiced food both pregnancies. The amount you cook with is no problem. Only thing, dont go overboard with very spicy stuff if you get acidity. Otherwise fine.
Beta normal pepper in your dal and sabzi is fine, our elders even used a pinch with honey for cough. Just keep it to food amounts, dont have heavy kadhas without asking. In cooking it is harmless.
