My gums have started bleeding a little when i brush these days and someone mentioned it can happen in pregnancy. Im ttc this month so naturally my mind went there. Is this actually connected or am i reading too much into it?
Bleeding gums can happen in pregnancy due to hormones making gums more sensitive, my dentist called it pregnancy gingivitis. But it is not an early confirming sign on its own. A soft brush and a dental checkup helped me.
It is a known pregnancy thing later on because of hormones, not really a first sign though. Use a soft brush and keep up oral hygiene. If it is heavy, see a dentist, they treat pregnant women carefully.
