Since last week whenever i brush thoda blood aa raha hai from my gums. Im in 2nd trimester and never had this before pregnancy. Is this a normal pregnancy thing or should i be worried?
Mere saath bhi exactly same hua tha in my second trimester, blood would come out while brushing. I didn't want to take any risk, so I just mentioned it to my gynac during my regular checkup. She suggested a super soft toothbrush and it slowly got better on its own.
Actually, my BabyCenter app had flagged this around week 14, it's called pregnancy gingivitis. Increased blood flow makes gums sensitive, so they bleed easily. Just use a mild mouthwash and let your doctor know just in case they want to check your dental hygiene.
I felt so worried when my gums started bleeding out of nowhere during my fifth month. Honestly, I literally cried thinking something is wrong with my calcium levels. But my doctor reassured me it's just pregnancy hormones increasing blood flow, which made me feel so much lighter.
Beta, bilkul panic mat karo, this is very common due to hormonal changes. Just make sure u are brushing very gently and using a soft brush. Still, just to be 100% safe, do mention it to your gynac in your next visit so she can guide u properly.
Oh god, same here! I noticed blood yesterday while spitting and got so scared, is this really normal? Pls tell me if anyone else is facing this too in their 2nd trimester. I am planning to call my doctor tomorrow anyway.
While mild gum bleeding is quite common due to hormonal shifts, it's always best to get a professional opinion. Definitely mention it to your gynac or a dentist before starting any home remedies or special toothpastes. Dental health is super important during these nine months.
