This is my ivf baby after a long long wait and i noticed some light spotting today. My heart sank immediately, im so anxious. I will call my doctor first thing tomorrow but wanted to know if other ivf mommas went through this too.
I did IVF and had some light spotting early on, and my doctor said a little spotting can happen, especially with all the meds and the early weeks. It scared me every single time though. Please always report any bleeding to your IVF doctor, dont wait, they monitor us extra closely for good reason.
My RE told me light spotting in early IVF pregnancy isn't rare and can be from implantation or the progesterone support, but heavier bleeding needs immediate review. So a bit can be 'normal-ish' but the rule was always to inform the clinic right away and let them decide. Dont self diagnose this one.
After everything we go through for IVF, bleeding is so frightening, I really understand. Some light spotting can be okay, but given how precious this is, please get any bleeding checked by your doctor straight away, no hesitation. Thinking of you.
Some spotting can be common, but with IVF especially I'd never just assume it's fine. Always call your fertility doctor the same day, particularly if it's heavy, bright red or with cramps. They'd much rather check you than have you wait and worry.
Dear, I know after IVF every drop of blood feels terrifying. A little spotting can happen and not always be bad, but please dont sit with the worry, just call your doctor and let them reassure or check you. That's exactly what they're there for.
