This is little embarrassing to type but i noticed some blood from piles and now im worried whether its harmful for the baby or just normal pregnancy thing. Constipation has been terrible in my third trimester. Anyone dealt with this?
Small amount of bright red blood from piles while passing stool is fairly common in pregnancy, mostly not serious. But dont assume, tell your gynac, because they will want to be sure it is piles and not something else, and they can give a safe cream. Keep your stool soft with fibre and water so you dont strain.
Piles are sooo common in pregnancy and after delivery, I had them and the bleeding scared me at first. Usually a bit of bleeding from piles isnt dangerous but it should still be mentioned to your doctor. Fibre, lots of water and not straining helped me a lot.
Beta this happens to many ladies in pregnancy because of the pressure. Eat more fibre, soaked raisins, lots of water and avoid sitting too long on the toilet. A warm sitz bath gives relief. But if the bleeding is a lot or doesnt settle, show your doctor, no shame in it.
Light bleeding from piles is usually not an emergency, but I would still get it confirmed. If the bleeding is heavy, there is severe pain, or you feel dizzy or weak, then please see your doctor quickly, that needs proper checking and not home remedies.
