My saas keeps giving me Boost in milk every morning saying it will give energy to me and baccha. I dont mind the taste but just want to know if its actually fine during pregnancy or not.
Please be very careful with commercial drinks like Boost, they contain a lot of hidden sugar. I developed gestational diabetes in my 26th week and had to stop all such drinks immediately. Better to have plain milk or ask your doctor first.
I used to check the ingredients of literally everything, and Boost has quite a bit of sugar and caffeine! I got so anxious thinking it might affect the baby, so I stopped. Pls ask your gynac if it's safe for your daily diet.
I am also trying to conceive and was wondering about health drinks. My MIL said homemade badam milk is better than store-bought drinks like Boost. Maybe check with your doctor once to be completely sure?
It is okay to have it sometimes if you really crave it. But try to limit it since it has high sugar. Fresh milk with some dry fruit powder is much safer and healthier.
Honestly, I had crazy chocolate cravings in my second trimester and Boost was my savior! I used to have it chilled with hot parathas, don't judge me. Just don't overdo it because of the sugar rush.
