My elder one is just 1 year old and still feeding, and now i found out im pregnant again. Im confused whether i should continue or stop now. Worried it might affect this new pregnancy. Anyone done tandem feeding, how did it go?
Elders at home had mixed views on this, some say continue, some say stop. Honestly it depends on your body and pregnancy, so trust your doctor over family opinions here. She will tell you whats best for you da.
I nursed my toddler in early pregnancy and my doctor said it was fine for me. It can cause some cramping for some women though. Just keep your gynac in the loop so she can guide you based on how your pregnancy is going.
Some women do breastfeed an older child while pregnant, and in a normal pregnancy its often okay. But if you have any risk, bleeding or contractions, the doctor may advise stopping. Definitely check with your gynac for your specific case.
Because I had a sensitive pregnancy, my doctor asked me to wean during it. So please dont assume one answer fits all, it really depends on your situation. Ask your own gynac before continuing.
