I love baingan and we cook it often at home, but my neighbour aunty said avoid it now. Bit confused honestly. Do you all eat brinjal normally during these months or skip it?
In our traditions some say avoid too much baingan in pregnancy as it is considered heaty. A normal portion in your sabzi now and then is okay beta. Just dont eat it daily in big amounts, balance it out.
We make brinjal often at home and I had it through pregnancy without any issue. My mother only said cook it well. If your gynac hasnt told you to avoid it, a moderate amount is fine.
Cooked brinjal in normal amounts is fine, I ate baingan bharta plenty of times. The whole avoid brinjal thing is more of a Ayurveda heaty concept. Just eat it properly cooked, not raw, and you're okay.
