Noticed some light brown discharge couple days before my period was due and now period is also late. Got me wondering. Did anyone else have this before finding out they were pregnant?

It can be, light brown spotting around your expected period date is sometimes implantation. But it can also just be old blood from your cycle. The only sure way is a test after your missed period, dont go by discharge alone.
It may be normal but if it keeps coming, gets heavier or has pain, please get it checked. I had brown discharge once that needed attention. Better to let your gynac confirm than to assume.
