I have to travel to my parents ghar next week and its like 5-6 hours by bus. Im only 7 weeks na so thoda tension ho raha hai about all the jerks and bumpy roads. Anyone travelled long distance by bus in first tri? pls share.
Oh I remember being so paranoid about every small bump on the road back then! My little boy is 2 now and totally fine, even though I did a 3-hour bus journey in my 2nd month. Just hold your tummy, relax, and don't stress so much.
It really depends on the road condition and how u are feeling dear. I had to travel daily in my first few months and it was okay, just went very slowly. Just make sure to stay hydrated and take small breaks if it's a long journey.
Honestly, Indian buses have built-in roller coasters with all the potholes! 🤣 I traveled once in my first trimester and felt my stomach in my throat. Just sit in the middle row and avoid the back seat unless u want a free baby-bouncing service.
My MIL was totally against bus travel during the first trimester, she wanted me to take cabs only. But my gynac said safe roads are fine, just avoid bumpy routes and back seats. Better to ask your doctor once to be completely tension-free.
If it's a normal office commute on decent city roads, it's totally fine. Just skip the peak hours rush because getting pushed in a crowded bus is not safe. Otherwise don't overthink, just travel comfortably.
