My mom adds a spoon of white butter to almost everything now saying its good for baby and bones. Tasty haan but i worry about putting on too much weight. How much is ok in a day?
Beta in our time we always added a little ghar ka white butter or ghee, they said it helps the baby and makes delivery smoother. Just dont overdo it, a small spoon is enough.
Honestly homemade makhan is cheaper and cleaner than fancy spreads. I used to put a tiny bit on roti, no harm. Just balance it with proper dal sabzi, dont depend on butter for nutrition.
I had to watch my fats closely because of my sugar levels, so for me butter was limited. If you dont have any such issue a little is fine, but a normal amount only. Quantity is the real thing.
Butter in moderation is okay, its just fat and some vitamins. Homemade is better than the packaged salty ones. If your weight or cholesterol is being tracked, follow whatever your doctor advises.
