I usually have 2 chai and sometimes coffee daily, cant function without it haha. Now that im pregnant im wondering if its okay to continue or should I cut down. Whats ur experience with this?
Haha, I know the struggle! ☕️ I used to LOVE my morning chai. But honestly, it's best to reduce it as much as possible. My gynac said a little bit is okay, but less is always more during pregnancy. Maybe switch to decaf or herbal tea? 😊
No, it's not really 'good' for pregnancy. Doctors always say to reduce or avoid it. A little bit here and there might be okay for some, but I personally cut it out almost entirely with both my pregnancies. Why take the risk, right?
Most doctors advise limiting caffeine intake during pregnancy, not completely stopping it if you're a regular coffee drinker. The general guideline is usually up to 200mg per day, which is like one small cup of coffee. But honestly, it's better to talk to your gynac and see what they recommend for *you* specifically, everyone is different.
Many doctors suggest limiting caffeine, not necessarily cutting it out completely. I used to have a small cup of tea in the morning, which my doc said was fine. Just be mindful of how much you're consuming throughout the day and listen to your body. Every pregnancy is unique.
Given my history, I was extremely cautious with everything, including caffeine. My doctor advised me to avoid it completely during the first trimester, and then very minimally after that. It's always best to be on the safer side, especially when it comes to your baby's health. Please discuss this with your doctor without fail.
