Is cervix open in early pregnancy?

Read some random stuff online about checking the cervix and now im confused. Im around 6 weeks and just trying to understand how it normally is at this stage. Anyone know about this?

Dont stress about this on your own, beta. These internal things are best left to the doctor to check. Just take care and rest.

Honestly this is something I never checked myself, I just left it to my gynac. I dont think you should be trying to check it on your own. Your doctor sees all this during your visits.

I would never poke around to check this myself, infection risk and all. If you have any worry about it, just let your gynac examine. Safer that way.

Usually the cervix stays closed and firm in early pregnancy, that is the normal thing. But this is really for the doctor to assess, not something to self check at home. Ask your gynac at your next visit if youre curious.
