I mostly eat roti for both meals, dont enjoy rice much. Someone told me too much wheat is not good during pregnancy and now im second guessing. Is chapati ok to have daily na?
Chapati is cheap, simple and very good for pregnancy. No need for fancy diets honestly. Roti, dal, sabzi and a fruit covers most of what you need without burning your budget.
Yes chapati is great, its a healthy carb and easy to digest. I lived on roti sabzi through both pregnancies. Use whole wheat atta and you're good, add ghee if you want energy.
Whole wheat chapati was my staple, good fibre and keeps you full longer. I'd have it with lots of veggies. Combined with a short walk after dinner if my doctor okayed it, it helped my digestion stay smooth too.
Chapati is good and better than too much rice actually. With my sugar issue, doctor recommended more rotis and less rice. Just watch the quantity and have it with sabzi and protein so it doesnt spike sugar. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor about portions.
Chapati is very good dear, light on the stomach and filling. My family always says soft fresh phulkas with dal are perfect for an expecting mom. Pair it with veggies and curd for a balanced plate.
