My flat is on second floor and there is no lift, so i climb up down many times a day. Im 4 months. Saas keeps saying be careful but i feel fine. Is it actually ok or should i reduce?
If your health is fine, climbing stairs in moderation is quite good for staying active. Just say a little prayer for your safety, keep your mind calm, and don't exert yourself too much. Stay positive and take care of your beautiful health.
Please check with your doctor before climbing stairs, especially in the first trimester. In my case, I had some bleeding complications early on and my gynac strictly put me on complete bed rest with no stairs allowed at all. It's better to be cautious and get their green light first.
Climbing stairs can be a decent workout, but honestly, I only stuck to safe walking and prenatal yoga after getting strict approval from my gynac. Every pregnancy is different, so please don't start any active stair climbing before your doctor says it is safe for you. Exercise is good, but safety is priority!
Actually yaar, climbing stairs is totally fine in a normal pregnancy, but just don't rush. I used to take it very slow on our building stairs and stop if I felt breathless. Just watch your step and hold the railing, safety first always!
My saas was completely against me climbing stairs in the early months, she would literally run to get things for me so I wouldn't have to walk up! But honestly, my doctor said normal climbing is fine as long as there is no pain or bleeding. Just listen to your body and your elders, and don't carry heavy things.
