Been using this routine for years and i love it, but now that im expecting im double checking everything i put on my face. Dont want to take any chance with the baby. Anyone here continued it or switched?
I actually used the Clinique 3-step system before getting pregnant, but when I conceived, I felt so paranoid about every single chemical on my face. I decided to pause it and switch to a very basic, safe moisturizer. I felt much more at peace doing that for my baby.
Listen, don't just blindly use any 3-step kit right now. Some of those products have salicylic acid which is generally avoided during pregnancy. Turn the bottle around, read the ingredients, or just show it to your skin doctor/gynac once to be 100% sure.
Don't worry too much about skincare, most basic products are fine. I used to use Clinique back then, but my gynac told me to just avoid salicylic acid or retinoids. Looking back now that my daughter is a toddler, minor skincare choices didn't harm anything, but check the ingredients once.
Having gone through a loss before, I became extremely cautious about everything, including skin products. I immediately stopped anything with active chemicals and moved to organic, natural skin care. Please be safe and run the ingredients list by your doctor before using it.
Haan, safe toh ho sakta hai, par salicylic acid ya retinol check kar lena products me, wo pregnancy me achha nahi hota na. Maine toh pregnancy me apna routine bilkul simple rakha tha. Gynac se ek baar pooch lo, safe side pe rahoge.
You need to check the active ingredients in each of those three steps. If the toner or cleanser contains high salicylic acid, skip it for now. Stick to a gentle soap-free cleanser and a plain moisturizer during these nine months.
