I have been having intense chocolate and cocoa cravings lately and feeling a little guilty about it. Not sure if its fine or i should cut back because of caffeine or something. Anyone know if cocoa is okay?
Cocoa does have some caffeine, so it's fine in small amounts but not in huge quantities daily. I kept my total caffeine in check including tea and coffee. Enjoy it sensibly is what my doctor basically said.
Plain cocoa is okay but watch the sugary chocolate drinks and bars, that's where it added up for me. I switched to a little unsweetened cocoa in warm milk. Keep portions small if sugar is a concern.
A little dark chocolate or cocoa was my happy treat, totally fine in moderation. I just didn't go overboard because of the sugar and caffeine in it. A small piece when craving hits, no guilt yaar.
Listen, a pregnant woman and her chocolate craving cannot be separated, ha. A bit of cocoa is perfectly fine, just don't finish the whole box in one sitting like I almost did once.
