Im in my first trimester and the constipation is really bothering me, sometimes 2-3 days nothing. Never had this issue before pregnancy. Is it common or do i need to mention it to my doctor?
I had GD so I had to be careful with fruits and fibre choices. I added more leafy veg and water instead of too many sweet fruits. So just balance it according to your own health, and ask your doc which fibre options suit you.
Constipation in pregnancy is super common, blame the hormones and the iron tablets. In both my pregnancies I dealt with it. More water, fruits like papaya in moderation, fibre and a little walking helped me. If it gets really bad mention it to your gynac, dont take random laxatives.
Oh constipation was my whole pregnancy story haha :) water and morning walk were my saviours. Hang in there, it does get manageable. Just dont strain too much.
I managed mine mostly with soaked raisins, warm water in morning and lots of veggies. Natural stuff worked for me. But if you ever see bleeding or have severe pain, dont just home remedy it, check with your doctor.
