I use corn flour a lot in my cooking and snacks. Now in pregnancy im second guessing everything haha. Is it actually good or should i cut down? Just want to eat healthy for baccha.
Nutritional value-wise, corn flour is mostly starch with less fiber. While safe in small food quantities, it's always best to ask your clinical nutritionist for specific diet charts.
I avoided corn flour completely thinking it was too processed and might cause constipation. But having a little bit in soups occasionally should be fine, just don't overdo it.
Be careful with corn flour if you are watching your sugar levels as it has a high glycemic index. Try using healthier thickeners like oats powder instead.
