I'm around 6 weeks and since two days my stomach is upset, loose motions multiple times. I read somewhere ectopic can cause tummy issues and now im a bit scared. Has anyone gone through this, is loose motion ever linked to it?
Loose motions happen in pregnancy from hormones and food both. Ectopic is a different thing, very painful and needs urgent scan. If you only have diarrhea and feeling ok, drink ORS, eat light. But any one sided cramp, rush to doctor same day.
Diarrhea alone is not really the sign to worry about. With ectopic it's usually sharp one sided pain in lower belly, shoulder tip pain, spotting. I went through a scary one so honestly pls dont sit and google, get a scan and bhcg done if you even slightly suspect.
I used to read every symptom and convince myself something is wrong, so I get the fear. But trust me a scan settles everything in 5 min. Better to just go and get peace of mind than keep worrying na.
Honestly diarrhea is too non specific to tell anything. The safest thing is just call your gynac and tell her your symptoms together. Self diagnosing ectopic from one thing is not reliable, only ultrasound confirms it.
My gynac explained ectopic shows mostly as severe pain on one side and bleeding, sometimes loose motion too because the area near intestines gets irritated. But loose motion by itself is super common in pregnancy. She told me the combo of pain plus spotting is the red flag, not diarrhea on its own.
