Is diclofenac safe in first trimester of pregnancy?
I had a bad back pain and someone at home suggested a diclofenac tablet, but then i remembered im only 9 weeks and stopped. Now im worried whether such painkillers are okay this early. I will ask my gynac for sure but wanted to know if anyone here was told about this.
For any medicine in first trimester the safest answer is, ask ur doctor with ur specific situation. Pregnancy safety for drugs is very particular. Dont go by general info online for something like this, ur gynac knows ur case.
Please dont take this on ur own. These painkiller type meds are generally not advised in pregnancy unless a doctor specifically prescribes. I learnt the hard way to ask before taking anything. Call ur gynac and tell her why u need it.
I wouldnt touch any painkiller in pregnancy without my doctors okay, specially first trimester. Whatever pain or issue ur having, message ur gynac and let her decide whats safe. Self medicating now is just not worth the risk.
I cant tell u if its safe, only a doctor can. What I'll say from my side is I never took any tablet in early pregnancy without asking first, even small ones. Please check with ur gynac before this.
