Had a bit of fever and body pain yesterday and my husband had dolo at home so he asked if i can take it. I didnt, coz i want to confirm first. Im 12 weeks. Just want to know your experience, did your doctor allow it?
Paracetamol like Dolo is the one usually allowed in pregnancy when needed for fever or pain. Still you should check with your doctor for how much and how often. It is safe compared to many others but not a free pass to self medicate.
Even though it is considered safe, I always messaged my gynac before taking it. She told me the right dose for my fever. Please do the same, especially in the first trimester, just to be sure.
Dolo is paracetamol and it is generally the go to safe painkiller in pregnancy, but only in the dose your doctor advises. I took it for fever once after asking my gynac. Dont take it repeatedly on your own, always confirm the dose.
