My MIL keeps making drumstick sambar and saying it's very good for me and the baby. I do like it but wanted to know is there actually any benefit or is it just a ghar ka nuskha type thing? anyone been told the same?
In cooked food form its a good veggie. If you mean concentrated moringa supplements thats a separate question, best to check with your gynac before taking those. As normal sabzi, enjoy it.
Drumstick the vegetable is fine and tasty in food. One thing though, I would not take any drumstick supplements or moringa powder in heavy doses without asking the doctor, eating it as food is different from concentrated supplements.
We eat drumstick a lot in sambar at home and my mom always said it is good and nutritious. I had it through my pregnancy in normal food quantity and it was fine for me. As a regular vegetable its lovely, just keep it part of balanced meals na.
As a normal sabzi or in dal it is healthy, good iron and stuff. Just dont go overboard thinking more is better, normal food amounts only. I had it both pregnancies without any issue.
