My MIL keeps making sambar with lots of drumstick saying its good for me, but i read somewhere the leaves and bark should be avoided in pregnancy. Im only 7 weeks so being extra careful. Is the regular drumstick we eat in food okay na?
We use drumstick a lot in sambar at home and it is full of iron and calcium. My mom said the cooked vegetable is fine, only the bark and root are avoided. I ate it cooked and my doctor had no issue with it.
Beta the drumstick vegetable cooked in dal is good for strength. In olden days we always added it. Just dont take any concentrated drumstick medicine without asking, the normal sabzi is fine.
