My MIL keeps giving me anjeer soaked overnight and says its bohot acha for the baby. I do like it but wanted to know if its actually safe to have daily? anyone else eating figs in pregnancy?
According to what my doctor told me, figs are packed with calcium, iron, and fiber, which helps keep bowel movements smooth. However, because they are dense in calories and sugar, having just 2-3 pieces a day is ideal. Always wash them properly before soaking.
Same here, my mom also bought a big packet of dried figs for me last week. Are you having them raw or soaking them first? I find soaked ones much easier to chew and digest.
My nutritionist at Cloudnine actually recommended dry figs for iron and calcium. But since dried fruits are high in sugar, I'd suggest checking with your hospital team about the right quantity for you. They always give the best advice.
Anjeer is a lifesaver for constipation, which is currently my worst enemy in this 3rd trimester! I eat two soaked figs every morning. Just don't eat too many at once unless you want to spend the whole day in the loo, haha.
Yes dear, dry figs or anjeer are very good, especially for digestion and iron. Just soak 1 or 2 in water overnight and eat them in the morning. Take care of yourself, and don't worry, you are doing great.
Oh, I remember eating soaked anjeer daily during my pregnancy, it really helped with my low hemoglobin levels. Looking back at those days makes me so emotional, cherish this beautiful time. Yes, they are totally safe and good for you.
Haan ji, anjeer khana toh bahut achha hota hai pregnancy me. Hamare ghar pe toh sab bolte hain ki isse khoon badhta hai. Bas raat ko paani me bhigo kar subah khao, bahut fayda milega.
