Period is a few days late and ive been waking up with a really dry mouth and feeling thirsty all night. Havent tested yet. Could this be an early sign or am i reading too much into it? anyone experienced this?
Yes I had dry mouth especially at night and woke up so thirsty. I think its from needing more water now and the hormones. Anyone else kept a bottle next to the bed like me?
It can be, your body needs more fluids in pregnancy so dry mouth and thirst are common. Sip water through the day. But if you are super thirsty all the time with frequent urination, mention it to your doc for a sugar check.
Mild dry mouth can be normal, but I will say this gently, in my case excessive thirst was an early hint of high sugar. So if its constant and intense, please get tested, just to be safe. Otherwise hydration usually fixes it.
Its fairly common, the body uses more water now. Keep sipping and dont let yourself get dehydrated. If it feels extreme though, a quick word with your gynac wont hurt.
