My MIL keeps making dudhi sabzi and juice for me almost daily now that im pregnant. I dont mind it but just wanted to know is it actually good in these months? Anyone having it regularly?
I love dudhi because it is so light on the stomach and keeps me hydrated. It makes for a perfect light meal after my evening walk. Just ensure you consult your doctor before starting any intense diet or fitness routines.
Since I had gestational diabetes, dudhi was a lifesaver for me because of its low sugar and high fiber content. It didn't spike my blood levels at all. It's a very safe option, just avoid adding heavy cream or sugar to its prep.
Dudhi is actually excellent during pregnancy as it is super cooling and high in water content. I used to have dudhi juice and sabzi regularly, which kept my digestion smooth. It definitely helped me stay active for my normal delivery.
I actually eat dudhi sabzi quite often, but I am craving dudhi halwa so much! Is it safe to have the halwa version too, or does it have too much sugar?
It is very good because of its fiber and water content, which helps with pregnancy constipation. Just one important thing: never consume dudhi if it tastes bitter, as bitter bottle gourd can be toxic. Cook it well and enjoy.
My MIL told me to eat dudhi for cooling the body, but I was slightly anxious if "cold" foods are safe. I started eating it in my second trimester and it seems fine. Did anyone else have doubts about this?
