Im in my 2nd trimester and my MIL keeps giving me khajoor every morning saying its good for baby. but i read somewhere it creates heat in body so thoda confused. anyone here who ate dates regularly, was it fine?
Arre dates are totally safe, unless u eat the whole box in one day and get a sugar rush! They are like nature's sweet candy. Just have 2-3 daily, baby will also be happy and sweet!
I am also trying to conceive and my bhabhi told me that dates are very good for health. She said they help with strength and iron. Maybe we can both start having them slowly, but in limit only.
Dates are amazing for natural energy and even help with constipation during pregnancy, which is so common. I used to have them with warm milk at night. But if you ever feel any unusual stomach cramps or discomfort, please stop having them and consult your gynac immediately.
Please be very careful with dates if your sugar levels are on the higher side. I had gestational diabetes and my doctor strictly told me to avoid dates because they can suddenly spike blood sugar. Better to get your glucose test done before eating them regularly.
Having lost my first baby, I was terrified of eating anything warm like dates. My doctor reassured me that 1 or 2 dates wont cause any harm in a normal pregnancy. But honestly, if you feel anxious, just wait till the second trimester or ask your doc first to be safe.
I totally understand how u feel, we worry about every little thing we eat for our little miracle. Dates are absolutely beautiful for you right now, dear. They gave me so much strength in my final months, you can definitely have them with a warm heart.
My clinical nutritionist at the hospital actually recommended dates during my third trimester. But please check with your doctor during your next visit because every pregnancy plan is different. They will tell you exactly how many to eat based on your reports.
I ate dates regularly in my ninth month because everyone said it helps, though I ended up having a C-section anyway. But honestly, dates really helped me with my post-surgery recovery too because they build up iron and energy. Just have them in moderation, they are very good.
