I eat eggs almost everyday for protein but my saas told me to be careful now. Just want to confirm if its fine and any way it should be cooked. Anyone?
Haan beta, cooked eggs are very healthy for you and the baby. Just make sure the egg yolk is fully hard and not raw at all, it will give you good strength.
Eggs are a great source of protein, but please make sure they are completely hard-boiled and never runny or raw. It is always safest to run your diet changes by your gynac to ensure they are safe for your body.
I am in my 2nd trimester and love boiled eggs, but I get so anxious about salmonella risk. Does anyone else feel super nervous about eating eggs, or is it completely fine if they are fully cooked?
Fully cooked eggs are extremely safe and highly recommended for choline and protein, which help in baby's brain development. Just avoid raw egg preparations like homemade mayonnaise, and check with your doctor if you have any high cholesterol issues.
Eggs are great, but during my first trimester, the smell of boiled eggs made my morning sickness so much worse! If you can tolerate the smell, definitely have them well-cooked, otherwise don't force yourself.
