I have a bad throat infection and an old prescription has erythromycin in it. Im 6 months pregnant now so i dont want to take anything on my own. Will confirm with my doc but wanted to hear if others were given it.
Whenever I needed any antibiotic, my gynac chose a specific safe one for me. I never bought one myself. Please show this to your doctor before taking it.
Some antibiotics are okay in pregnancy and some are not, only your doctor can pick the right one. Never take an antibiotic on your own. Please call your gynac and let them prescribe it.
Antibiotics are not something to guess about during pregnancy. Even if one is generally considered okay, dose and timing matter a lot. Please get it prescribed by your doctor only.
