I have been coughing hard since two days and my lower stomach hurts when I cough. I am worried if the pressure can affect baby. I will check with gynac if it doesn't settle, but anyone had this?
I worried about this so much when i had a bad cold cough. But my baby was totally fine, the baby is well cushioned inside. Still if its excessive and not stopping pls see ur doctor, dont keep suffering like i did.
Beta for mild cough warm water with a little honey, ginger, tulsi helps soothe the throat. But if cough is heavy and not stopping or with fever, do show the doctor, dont rely only on ghar ke nuskhe then.
If the coughing is really excessive and you cant control it, please go to your gynac. Continuous hard coughing can be uncomfortable and they can check if there is any infection. Better safe.
A normal cough wont harm the baby, they are well protected. But if its excessive and going on for days you should get it checked, could be infection that needs treatment. Dont take random cough syrups without asking.
I know that constant cough feeling is so exhausting on top of everything else. Baby stays safe but for you, steam and warm fluids helped me. If its not settling in few days definitely see the doc.
