Weather is so hot here and im craving falooda since morning yaar. Im in my second tri and just wondering if the ice cream and rose syrup wala thing is ok or i should avoid. Anyone had it during pregnancy?
Of course it's safe, but watch where you buy it from. Avoid roadside stalls because of water and milk quality, and stick to clean, hygienic places like Naturals or good ice cream parlors. Just enjoy it as a treat, don't overdo the sugar.
Ghar pe banake khao, wo sabse best aur safe hai. You can buy good quality sabja seeds and make it with clean boiled milk at home. Bahar ka heavy cream and artificial syrups sometimes don't suit the stomach during pregnancy.
I think it should be safe if made hygienically. Maybe just try a small portion first to see if it suits your stomach. Sending you so many good wishes for a healthy journey ahead!
I used to dream about falooda daily during my second trimester, no kidding! Just eat it from a clean hygienic place and satisfy that craving. God knows you won't get time to eat peacefully once the baby is here, haha!
My MIL was saying to avoid cold things like ice cream and falooda during pregnancy, but my doctor said it is totally fine in moderation. Just make sure the sabja seeds are soaked well in clean water. It actually helps cool down the body heat.
Honestly, ask your doc first if your sugar levels are totally fine. Falooda has so much sugar, ice cream, and sweet syrup which can spike your blood glucose instantly. I had GD and my doc strictly told me to avoid such heavy desserts.
